Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A free medical camp was conducted on 6th november, as part of the Civic Action Program at the Central Phulkadbari Helipad ground near Five Mile, adjacent to the Border Out Post Tinbigha of the 06th Battalion BSF in the Cooch Behar district. The inauguration of the free medical camp was carried out by Khanindra Chaudhary, the Commandant of the 06th Battalion BSF.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Dr. Ashok Kumar, the DC (SMO) of the 06th Battalion BSF, Dr. Tapas Kumar Das, the Superintendent of SDH Hospital Mekhliganj, local Panchayat members, BSF officers, and villagers from the surrounding areas near BOP Tinbigha.
The Border Security Force (BSF) reported this initiative through a press release on Monday, revealing that more than 400 individuals received free medical treatment at the camp. The medical services were provided by a team of BSF doctors and trained nursing assistants, in collaboration with the medical team from SDH Hospital Mekhliganj. Additionally, wheelchairs were distributed to border residents in need during the camp.
